Your data belongs to you. Period.

Last updated: March 2026. We say what we do, and we do what we say.

Data collected

We only collect data necessary for the app to function: name/username, email, profile photos, gender identity and orientation (as you describe them), approximate geolocation, and anonymised usage data. We never collect permanent biometric data โ€” the verification selfie is deleted after validation.

Data usage

Your data is used to: show your profile to compatible people, improve our matching algorithm, ensure the safety of the space (detecting abusive behaviour), and send you app-related notifications. We never use your data for advertising purposes. Ever.

Storage & security

All data is encrypted in transit (TLS 1.3) and at rest (AES-256). Our servers are hosted in Europe (France, Netherlands) and are GDPR-compliant. Messages are end-to-end encrypted โ€” we can't read them, even if we wanted to.

Third-party sharing

We never sell your data. We don't share it with any third party for commercial purposes. The only technical partners with access to limited data are our hosting provider (OVH), our email service (Postmark), and our identity verification system (Jumio) โ€” all bound by strict confidentiality agreements.

Your rights

At any time you can: access all your data, export it, modify it, or permanently delete it. Deletion is irreversible and immediate โ€” no hidden retention period. You can exercise these rights directly in the app or by writing to privacy@queerly.lgbt.

Cookies

We only use cookies essential for the app to function (authentication, preferences). No ad cookies, no third-party trackers, no tracking pixels. Period.

DPO contact

Our Data Protection Officer can be reached at dpo@queerly.lgbt. You can also file a complaint with the CNIL (cnil.fr) if you believe your rights are not being respected.
