Terms of use

The ground rules.

Last updated: March 2026. No unnecessary jargon โ€” we wrote these terms to actually be read.

1. Purpose

These terms of use govern access to and use of the Queerly app and website. By creating an account, you accept these terms in full.

2. Access to the service

Queerly is open to adults (18 and over) who identify as members of the LGBTQIA+ community. Registration requires identity verification. Any fake profile or identity fraud results in immediate and permanent exclusion.

3. User account

You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential. Each account is personal and non-transferable. In case of compromise, contact us immediately at security@queerly.lgbt.

4. Prohibited behaviour

Strictly prohibited: harassment in all its forms, hate speech, catfishing, non-consensual sharing of intimate content, spam, commercial solicitation, and any behaviour that threatens the safety or wellbeing of members. Violations are handled by our moderation team, made up exclusively of LGBTQIA+ community members.

5. Content

You retain ownership of all content you publish. By publishing it, you grant Queerly a limited licence to display it within the service. We never reuse your content for advertising or promotional purposes without your explicit consent.

6. Subscriptions & payments

The free tier is complete and unlimited in duration. The Premium subscription is billed monthly. You can cancel at any time โ€” Premium access stays active until the end of the paid period. 5% of every payment goes to LGBTQIA+ organisations.

7. Safety

The panic button, safety centre, and proactive alerts are available to all members, free of charge. In an emergency, Queerly can share your location with the trusted contacts you've designated. No safety data is shared with third parties.

8. Liability

Queerly strives to maintain a safe space but cannot guarantee the individual behaviour of its members. We strongly encourage the use of built-in safety tools and the reporting of any suspicious behaviour.

9. Changes to terms

We may modify these terms at any time. Substantial changes are notified by email and in the app at least 30 days before they take effect. Continued use constitutes acceptance.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by French law. Any dispute shall be submitted to the competent courts of Paris, subject to mandatory legal provisions applicable to your place of residence.
